holiday cheer...
this is my work's holiday card this year... it's the BEST ONE YET!... great job to my co-workers Tim & Natalie who concepted and executed this cute, cheery message for us to send out to clients... plus, i got to make a small contribution to this stop-motion animated holiday card in the form of a handmade item! see below for the scene in which my mistletoe made its big debut and it's ok if you want to play this OVER & OVER because it's so dang cute! :) MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

lovebirds have taken flight...
remember the invitation and lovebird related materials i designed for my wedding back in July, "The Two Lovebirds are Gettin' Hitched"? welp, seems that the lovebirds have spread their wings and have flown all over the printed scene this Valentine's Day... see these adorable cards? :)

gift ideas : the perfect card...
i find it really hard most of the time to find the PERFECT card to express how i feel... usually i just end up making my own... but i bet I've accumulated a year's worth of time if i had kept count of all the hours over my lifetime that i've spent thumbing through cards in the Hallmark section... Hallmark comes close...but they never get it just right or it's altogether too cheesy or just to serious...ok, maybe i'm being a little picky but if there's something i've learned in relationships, it's important to be clear with the message you're putting out, and who wants to leave that up to some copywriter from Hallmark?...this year when searching for the right words for the one you love, save yourself the card-isle-camp-out and do it the old fashioned way... write it yourself... usually the cards that i hold onto are the ones with precious hand-written & heartfelt notes composed on the inside...so i guess it's what's on the inside that counts when it comes to letters of love... put the way you feel in writing... be official, put it on paper, this cute paper...

my love & i are celebrating valentine's day this weekend... dinner & a movie... you know, beating the mad rush to swanky restaurants & flower shops...well, it's not just that, this weekend also has some significance because it was the weekend we got engaged last year... yippee! first Valentine's Day as newlyweds! in honor of love, love, love here's some hearts i like...
