got to get back into running...

i've got to get back into running...because of some recent health issues over the last 6 months my cardio time has not been able to take place....no pilates class for my shoulder, no trail running for my foot and now this recent development with my back (it's pretty bad - three prescriptions, physical therapy and shots in the back) ...all these health problems have me a little discouraged about the possibility of getting back in shape anytime soon....and the fact that most of my pants are either tight or don't fit anymore is really discouraging however... this poster from this etsy shop has inspired me...it's called "YOU CAN DO IT" .... what about you? what aspect of your life do you need to hear "you can do it" in?

you are so beautful to me...
"you are so beautiful to me, can't you see?"i love the simple type treatment of this special lyric and i LOVE the irony that it's in an eye chart format playing up the "can't you see?" :) i'd like to go home right now and give this to my sweet husband who is probably waiting for me 2-1/2 hours after i'm supposed to be home...sheesh! long, painful day at work :-/ ENJOY this art from Paper Paper!

color inspiration : africa's gain

found out my dear friend Joanna is moving to Ethiopia (which seems to be a hot spot for my friends lately) for two years teach kids from a missionary family...our loss is a great gain for Africa... if you'd like to help her out with raising money and nab a cool piece of art from a local artist for yourself, come on out to the new Java Brewing Company on Bardstown Road starting MAY 28th and buy some art by a bunch of our local artist friends and me...i'll get a post up soon of what i'm contributing ...the show will go on display May 28th... during her time in Kentucky she's definitely made a mark as a barista and art teacher, artist, photographer, musician and hospitable hostess with the mostest... but perhaps most importantly, Joanna has been a great friend to many including Posies & Plume, helping out with photo shoots and setting up wedding decor... she will be missed a lot! i'm telling you, she's awesome and will be a huge blessing to the missionary family she will be serving so come out and support her on May 28th! see facebook invite here

resolutions : passions related...
today's Friday and today is the second to last weekday in January, which means it's a good day for the last day to share a peak at all my resolutions for the year... i'd like to share some hopes i have in the realm of my passions, those being crafts/art/starting my own business and working there as my day job, not just my whenever-i-have-time job ... while most of the things listed below, take time that i just don't have to spend at this point, i'm optomistic that i can get these things done... i mean if you can't spend your precious time on this earth doing something you enjoy & doing something you feel contributes to a good purpose, you're not living at all ...you might not get rich but you'll be happy & be contributing to something that matters...
1. try to make some of these (pillowcases from Knock Knock Studio)

2. try to make some of these (rustic chalkboard from Kate Marie's Creations)
3. try to make some of these (earrings photo from Tease Made)4. organize finances/marketing plans/goals of Posies & Plume
5. make a big change, take a big risk (could be scary at first but well-worth it in the end)
