a local place that has recently become one of my weekly cravings is COALs Artisan Pizza...once you have a taste of the interesting flavors combining in these pies, you will never want to go back to the traditional type of pizza... all the pizzas on the menu are named after areas of Louisville (which is an idea that i LOVE too)... our favorites when we go is The Bardstown (Wild mushroom blend, carmelized onions, garlic, mozzarella, mascarpone, ricotta and Pecorino Romano) and The Waverly (Prosciutto, fig jam, asiago, fresh mozzarella and gorgonzola cheese finished in a balsamic reduction with shaved Parmesan)... they have great salads (my favorite is the Gorgonzola Wedge... so check this place out soon at the Vogue Center for a new spin on pizza... photos taken from Coals' facebook page
