can you imagine shooting a film for 16 hours and only having 20 seconds of footage to show for it? welcome to a typical day at work for a stop-motion animator! every time i see a new stop-motion animation, i have a renewed appreciation for their steadfast patience and vision for their creation... wanted to share a little flick with you today called Gulp... after you watch the largest stop-motion animation shot on a Nokia N8, you have to watch the Making Of video to see the time and admirable, attention-to-detail that it took to make this 1 minute and 45 second short film... it's amazing to see folks like Sumo Science and Aardman (makers of the well-known Wallace & Gromit series), who are used to working in a controlled, small-scale studio move to a variable, large-scale beach environment for a shoot... check it out!
