BIG THANKS to all who came out to the 930 Affordable Art Show on Saturday to support Posies & Plume! it was a HUGE success and so much fun! got to meet a lot of talented artists and craftspeople there and wanted to share some of them with you so you too can buy their stuff & support local art & plus, get cool stuff to wear or put in your home... so here goes...
isn't this just beautiful?...i love this art by Emil Walton... we graciously snagged a gorgeous piece from the generous Emil & i'm still deciding where i should hang it in the house...small world-my husband, Matt, plays rugby with this talented fellow too... i LOVE it when you can say that you personally know the artists that have art hanging on the walls of your home...
Laura from Laura Fauna was there & i wanted to get this cute skirt with pockets but never made it over to her booth to make a final purchase :( luckily she has an etsy stocked full of fabulous fashions made with vintage fabrics...take a look!
i did get to make it over to Meadows Art & Photography Booth & nabbed this adorable owl wall hanging...totally a fan of birds so it's going to work out well at the house!
my booth was set up next to a great girl named Lesley from Lyonesque... she makes the cutest plush dog toys...Taloulah, my dog, has added this T-bone steak & egg to her toy collection & LOVES them both! she sells her wares at Ultra POP & Hey Tiger in Louisville and at Pet Wants in Cincinnati...she also has a great blog you might like to read!
these are just some of the great artists you missed,
if you missed the show...
here's some more that you should check out:
Mickie Winters- i bought some of her stuff last year & LOVE it!
Kenny Andreozzi - he designs for Why Louisville & i nabbed a cool print of either his or his wife Cara Anderson that says "i like your guns"
Only Embry-makes amazing embroideries of beards...each one has a different and interesting personality & you should check them out at her etsy shop...she also has a blog
