one man's trash is another man's treasure...

this past weekend i participated in a really neat service project to help raise money for my friends, Lesli & Ryan's adoption from Ethiopia (same folks i designed this for)... we filled seven 45-ft. long dumpsters on Saturday all in an effort to help a widow out while raising money to help an orphan get a family through an organization called Lifesong for Orphans... the widow, Ms. Lucille, had two houses packed full of really interesting items-antique & vintage stuff that she had collected over her 70+ years on earth... all very cool to look at but don't worry...i was not distracted beyond being helpful...i was still very helpful even though i came home with a carload of items from the "Goodwill" pile...wanted to share them with you since they are some great finds & may appear in an upcoming Posies & Plume photo shoot

read more & check out the pictures from the day here

what is discarded by one, may be another's most precious treasure
in the case of my "finds" & in the case of the lucky kiddo
who will be the adopted son of my sweet friends

also if you would like to donate to bring home baby from Africa,
please make your tax deductible check out to
Lifesong for Orphans with "Sweeney # 1376" in the memo line
Your checks can be mailed to:
